OTR Ultra Chevron Tires

The OTR Ultra Chevron is an all season tire manufactured for lawn mowers and garden tractors.

The model offers great performance on versatile terrains. The wide footprint and the special tread elements firmly grip the surface with additional biting edges. As a result, the tire can easily keep forward motion at all times. This non-directional tread pattern and its constant surface contact boost the tire’s steering response time and accuracy to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. The rounded shoulders enable the tire’s excellent cornering and maneuvering. This combination improves the tire’s overall controllability and handling.

The reinforced internal structure and the durable rubber compound upgrade the tire’s load-carrying capacity and durability. The strong structure keeps the ideal tire shape under load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform under pressure, it can easily carry and withstand heavy loads. At the same time, the special silica compound manages to protect the tire against punctures, cuts, and tearing along the tread area. These elements significantly increase the tire’s load and driving durability.

The OTR Ultra Chevron provides a longer service life. The ideal tread design and the wear-resistant compound work together to evenly distribute driving pressure along the tread area and to slow the treadwear rate down. This combination avoids irregular and premature wear formations along the tread area and ensures a longer-lasting tread life.

This is a bias ply tire. Due to the tire’s internal construction and size, it is possible that the tire will look deformed. Smaller bias ply tires do not have reinforced constructions that can keep the tire from deforming. The bias construction and the small tire’s non-reinforced internal structure allow the tire to fold in when it is deflated or not properly inflated. This is not constructional damage or an issue; it is a normal occurrence with such tires. In such cases, the tire needs to be mounted and inflated to the proper PSI or, in some instances, an inner tube needs to be added. The proper PSI and the inner tube are able to maintain the tire’s ideal shape, preventing the bias plies from looking deformed. This ensures their performing safety and durability.

The photo is a representation of the tire’s possible deformation, it does not represent the specific tire model, size, tread pattern and application.

This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
