Firestone Destination A/T Tires
The Firestone Destination A/T is an all terrain, all season tire made for SUVs and light trucks.
The tire enhances the all weather traction. The tire provides all season compound and the optimal tread design improves the grip on dry, wet and winter weather conditions. The stronger compound elements enhance the rubber flexibility, while the tread firmly grips the road surface throughout the year. The widened lateral and circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from the footprint, greatly enhancing the wet weather driving safety levels.
The tread design with the staggered tread block placement and the high void ratio work together to improve the on- and off-road terrain gripping ability. The aggressive tread elements increase the soft, loose and uneven terrain grip, which ensures the tire’s forward motion throughout the performance. These elements increase the deep mud and loose dirt performance. The tread also keeps the footprint clean, while avoiding stone retention. The tread eliminates mud and snow from the footprint, while the tread ejects rocks stuck between the tread elements. This promotes a stronger versatile terrain grip.
The model’s optimal tire shape is maintained at all times. The continuous spiral wrap and the O-Bead structure work together to keep the ideal tire shape under the load and driving pressure. This combination greatly boosts the load carrying and withstanding capability, which enhances the load capacity. The construction also allows the tire to stabilize the tread elements. This resists tread flexing, while the L. L. Carbon compound improves the usability. They resist premature and irregular wear formations, which extend the tread life.
The Firestone Destination A/T promotes a quiet on-road drive. The five-degree pitch variation helps to lower the road and tread pattern noise. The pitch variation negates the soundwaves before they can reach the vehicle’s cabin. As a result, the tire does not allow the model to prevent road noise from ruining the passengers’ driving enjoyment.
This tire model was manufactured as the original equipment tire of select vehicles.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
